  • Woody Allen: Gordon was the one who said to me, when we do the split screen with the shrink, I with my shrink and she with another one. He said: “Don’t do split screen, build it. Build a set with a divider in the middle, so you’re both live. It’ll look like a split screen, but it won’t be.”

Gordon Willis: That was a revelation to him at that point, ‘cause that meant both actors could do the scene without being interrupted with doing half a scene and half a scene and put it together optically.

he swerved those punches like they were just somethin’ blowin’ by in the damn breeze

i could sit and watch this for hours. ZUKY! i know you can appreciate this with me. let’s just sit and look at this together for hours.
he just takes my damn breath away.

can i join your party, cause i have sat here for the past 60 seconds, no lie, watching this like the secret to life was in that gif.  maybe it is the dancer in me, but that is just beautiful.  like…what?  what?

the secret is that this IS the secret to life—all right here. bend like wheat in the sun, firmly rooted, going nowhere, but so soft…

so beautiful. and yet so heartbreaking to me because just a few years later he’d be absorbing those punches rather than slipping them, still coming back for more…

Wot Sarah says.
But fucking hell, y’know? I’d give big chunks of my soul to be that good at anything for seconds.

1) Matrix-style shit.

2) Now remembering the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony and am emotional.
